Marcus T. Coleman Jr. is a stakeholder engagement and communications professional, as well as a celebrated writer and speaker. He leads at the intersection of religious affairs, public-private partnerships, and crisis management to help people before, during, and after disasters. As a managing consultant at HWC, he co-leads the behavioral science and communications practice. Previously, he served in several government capacities, including acting director for the Department of Homeland Security Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. He earned a FEMA Administrator’s award for his leadership in building a national outreach initiative that encouraged collaboration between faith leaders and first responders to develop emergency operations plans for houses of worship.
